Just when I thought I was well hidden too... Actually those were my neighbor's vettes and we had our own mini cruise to and from the car show.

You should have been there earlier when I had a chance to talk, heck even Jody showed up for a while. There was 171 registered cars, but there were many that came and didn't register. There was easily 200 that showed up, exact number is unknown though.

1st in a top 21 format, FAIL! haha However I was a bit dissapointed that of all the cars there, not even one of the cars in the top 21 were newer than '69.

I had a blast! Extreemely well put together car show, especially for the price! I took a whole bunch of pictures and I'm not going to post all of them but here's the LINK to where you can see them.

This one was my favorite. It's a 3.8 turbocharged that lifted the front tires pulling into the show and schooled a Z06 leaving the show.

Only one I believe (the orange one in my pictures). A lot of the winners were the street rods.

I only spotted one '94-'96 B-body and it was a wagon. Wish I could've been there.

We were shooting for 100 cars and easily had over 200. Not a simple feet considering we had only a handful of people and a little over four weeks to promote. Bad thing about running the show is I did not have a chance to see any cars. I tried to make the rounds and talk to as many people as I could. Glad to see we had some MnGMP people on hand and a big thanks to fictmich for sharing pics. Copy of my review of the show from MnHotRods below.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Writing this to say thanks to everyone that came out and made this one of the best shows of 2009. We started the day with early morning shows that gave way to clouds at around 9am and sunny skys around 11am. The turnout was great with 171 registered cars, 4 unregistered cars and hundreds of spectators who overflowed into the Menards lot next door. Black Dawg Grille was short staffed with only two girls to serve the bar and dining area and one cook. We had some complaints on wait time and service but I want to commend the staff for their hard work. The Hooters girls arrived at 1pm with 50 hot wings and free beer coupons to pass out to participants and spectators. Ashley and Maya also posed for photos and helped with raffle prizes. Miss Car Craft 2008, Chrissy Wood, arrived at 1pm to smooze with the crowd. She signed posters for about and hour then walked the show posing for photos. Raffle drawings started at 11:30 and went all day with as many as twenty winners every 21 minutes to clear the crowded prize table. We started the awards ceremony by giving away the raffle grand prize of $202. O'Reilly reps chose the Top 21 winners. Each received a Top 21 8x10 plaque and Top 21 t-shirt. After the ceremony, participants headed for their cars and we went from 175 cars to 15 cars within 15 minutes.

Before closing I want to point out that we pulled off a big show with just 8 volunteers and a budget of $650. We received a lot of positive feedback and look forward to doing one again next year. Thanks again for coming out for a good time with us. Please make sure to mention the show to our sponsors next time you see them.

AWARDS & PRIZES: Dan Hopkins with O'Reilly Auto Parts and Tom Conquergood with O'Reilly Motorsports really came though with prizes (see award and prize lists below). Kim Clemens donated swag from the MSRA that included long sleeve denim shirts, sweetshirts, t-shirts and a fleece pull-over. Bill Clausen stepped up with some Autowalk t-shirts. Clint Dominick donated four Hooters $25 Gift Certificates and 50 hot wings.

AWARDS:
(21) Top 21 8x10 Plaques with Top 21 T-Shirts

RAFFLE PRIZES:
(01) Grand Prize $202
(25) Top 21 T-Shirts
(04) Hooters $25 Gift Certificates
(12) MSRA hoodies, dress shirts, sweatshirts & t-shirts
(35) O'Reilly Event T-Shirts
(50) O'Reilly Event Hats
